My Resume – Doctor Chiara Riviello
I received my Medical Degree in 2003 at the age of 24 years, with honors cum laude, from University of Florence, with a thesis on Recurrence of Preeclampsia and ACE DD polymorphism: the effect of LMWH treatment on the cardiovascular modification and pregnancy outcome. During my academic studies I have been awarded two academic scholarships for meritorious students by Aldo Orselli Foundation.

In the same year of graduation, I qualified as a professional, with 90/90 mark. In 2008 I graduated from the Master of Science in Gynecology and Obstetrics, with 70/70 cum laude, discussing a thesis on the Outcome of pregnancy in recurrent pregnancy loss patients and medicolegal implications on the choice of a childbirth mode.
While studying in the Master of Science, I attended a clinical research period and training expertise on management of gestational diabetes and on Pediatric Endocrinology at the Sansum Diabetes Research Institute in Santa Barbara, CA, USA.
I obtained the certificate of competence for Ultrasound Examination in the 11-13-week scan and the License to carry out combined screening test at the Fetal Medicine Foundation in London.
From 2004 to 2010 I taught Fundamentals of Gynecology and Obstetrics to Health Care students and I have drawn up a specific manual.
From 2008 to 2012 I attended the School of Traditional Acupuncture in Florence, graduating with a Medical Acupuncturist degree with a thesis on: Infertility in couples: diagnostic therapeutic integration between Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine.
In 2015 I specialized in Forensic Medicine at the University of Pisa with a dissertation on: “The experience in the Direct Refund within Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the University Hospital Careggi (FI) (2009-2015)”
I attended more than 100 conferences in the field of Gynecology and Obstetrics, giving more than 40 congress communications (oral and graphic). I am the author of two textbooks, 5 chapters in text books and over 26 scientific publications including 15 as first author.
As a medical examiner I have made more than 210 papers related to: plaintiff consultancy, Office technical advice, consulting for the Attorney of Pisa, Modena and Florence, consulting for Insurance companies, consulting for the Claims Management Committee of the Careggi University Company and second opinions for various Hospitals of Piedmont and Lombardy.
